How speaker cleaning sounds work

Sound moves a speaker's diaphragm. Low-frequency pulses may help displace water near the speaker opening; they cannot dry the inside of your device.

Water Eject uses a 26-second sequence of low tones and pulses around 165 Hz. Deep Clean steps through 200–1500 Hz for 48 seconds. These are fixed sound patterns, not measurements of water or dirt removed.

A cycle can't confirm that your speaker is clean or repair a damaged driver. Listen afterwards, use the speaker test if needed, and follow your manufacturer's drying and cleaning guidance.

How do I clean my phone speaker with sound?

Choose Water for a wet speaker, Dust for a frequency cycle, or Muffled if you're unsure. Follow the preparation cues, then press play. The sound moves the speaker diaphragm and may help move water near the opening. Results vary; it cannot repair hardware or dry the inside of a device.

Can sound remove dust?

The Deep Clean cycle plays a range of frequencies, but it cannot reliably remove packed dust or lint. If the opening is blocked, follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions. Don't push objects into the grille.

Does it work on iPhone, Android and tablets?

The tools run in modern browsers such as Safari on iPhone and iPad, and Chrome on Android phones and tablets. Tones play through your selected audio output; cleaning results vary by device. No app download is needed. The site cannot select a phone's earpiece or verify which speaker is playing.

What should I do before pressing play?

Disconnect headphones, point the speaker opening down, and use a comfortable volume. Keep the speaker away from your ears and stop if the sound distorts. For an external speaker, check that it is the selected output.

Is my microphone used?

No. Tones are generated on your device, and the tools never request your microphone or upload audio. No account is needed. Results are based on what you hear, not an automatic diagnosis.

What if the sound doesn't improve?

Try the speaker test to check what you can hear. Persistent crackling, muffling or silence may need drying time, cleaning according to the manufacturer's guidance, or repair. A completed cycle doesn't mean a water-exposed device is safe to charge.
